ACI brings Polish Brothers’ Stay Cool to AFM

Friday, Oct 23, 2009

LA-based American Cinema International has added the Polish Brothers’ high school film Stay Cool starring Winona Ryder and Hilary Duff to its AFM roster.

Mark Polish, Chevy Chase, Sean Astin, Josh Holloway and Jon Cryer also star in the tale of a successful author who falls for his high school sweetheart when he returns to give the commencement address.

Michael Polish directed the Initiate Productions film from Mark Polish’ screenplay. Both brothers produced.

“Stay Coolis a sharply written and directed film, eliciting great performances from an amazing cast,” ACI president Chevonne O’Shaughnessy said. “The chemistry amongst the ensemble cast really brings the story to life and delivers both funny and dramatic takes on a peculiar set of circumstances.”

“We’ve been on the lookout for a great, original comedy with mass commercial appeal and Stay Coolis a slam dunk in this category,” CEO George Shamieh said. “The film has the irreverent freshness that audiences are drawn to and truly appreciate.”

Cindy Bond brought the film to ACI and runs the faith and family production label Mission Pictures with O’Shaughnessy.

The 100 sexiest movie stars

Thursday, Oct 15, 2009

Not that I care about this things, but it’s IMO unnaceptable that this “most beautiful people” lists never list Winona, as a beautiful woman she is. Empire did the justice, and listed her into the 100 sexiest movie stars, in the position 49 for female. Yup, I know, but we can’t complain, she’s there.

Winona at Interview Magazine

Monday, Oct 12, 2009

Winona Ryder is on current anniversary issue of Interview Magazine, in an interview done by the editor in chief Stephen Moallen. I didn’t had the chance to get the magazine in hands, but here’s the interview so you can read it.
Thanks for Lunis for the heads up.

How Winona Ryder overcame junior high school bullies, teenage rebellion, the controversy surronding Heathers, overwhelming stardom, tabloid harassment, her breakup with Johnny Depp, suffocating mega-fame, wearing a corset, gen x angst, the Hollywood machine, J.D. Salinger’s cone of silence, the late ’90’s malaise, her fear of series television, and that time she got arrested and found a way to be free at last.

“Star Trek” High Definition Screencaptures

Sunday, Oct 4, 2009

I would like to thanks Andreas for sending in high quality screencaptures of Winona on Star Trek. As you may know, her part was short which means “just a few captures”. But hopefully I’ll be able to get the DVD when it gets out, and her deleted scenes will be available to be inserted.

The movie is coming to DVD and Blu-Ray next November 17, so you can get the antecipated high definition images of Amanda Grayson portrayed by lovely Winona. Enjoy!

Another Magazine: Celebrating a decade

Monday, Sep 28, 2009

Thanks to Thx313 for the heads up, Winona is featured on current Another Magazine issue, “Celebrating a decade in style”. The picture is amazing but can I call it a “photoshop disaster” since the lot of airbrush?
Let’s hope we can get access to more pictures of this shoot.
