Short films directed by Kate Hudson and Kirsten Dunst, and new projects featuring Jessica Biel, Dana Delany, Winona Ryder, Rainn Wilson, David Arquette will highlight the 14th annual Palm Springs International ShortFest Aug. 21-27 at the Camelot Theatres in Palm Springs.
The festival, featuring 2,700 films on screen and in its marketplace, has been called “the Sundance of short film festivals†because of its appeal to the U.S. film industry.
Dunst’s directorial project, “Welcome,†stars Winona Ryder. The festival will open at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 22 with a screening of award-winning live-action and animated films including “Life’s Hard†from Romania; “Manon on the Asphalt†(France), and “Sikumi (On the Ice)†(U.S.).
