Winona is a Barney’s babe

Friday, Apr 17, 2009

Winona was seen yesterday, smiling and ageless, with a friend shopping at Barney’s, before hitting the Grove Shopping Center in West Hollywood on Thursday. She looks stunning, and yay, with normal glasses!

“The Last Word” screencaptures

Wednesday, Apr 15, 2009

Finally I was able to cap “The Last Word”. The movie was released in Blu-Ray last April 7th (sadly I couldn’t find it here in Brazil yet).

Plot: A reclusive writer played by Bentley makes his living composing other people’s suicide notes. His life gets turned upside down after he embarks on a tumultuous romance with Ryder, the sister of a recently deceased client.

If you didn’t saw the movie yet, DO IT! Winona is incredible beauty, and with a strong performance in the movie.

Voom Portraits by Robert Wilson Opens Next Week in Valladolid

Tuesday, Mar 24, 2009

Valladolid will present “VOOM Portraits,” an exhibition of video portraits by the celebrated theater director and artist Robert Wilson, on view from April 2 through May 31. The exhibition is in cooperation with “VOOM Portraits – Robert Wilson”.

Wilson collaborates with his human subjects to develop costumes and settings that hark back to past works of art, history or popular culture. The exhibition at Paula Cooper Gallery will include a large portrait of Winona Ryder as Winnie, the main female character in Samuel Beckett’s Happy Days. Buried up to her neck in a mound of sand, Winona/Winnie gazes in the distance. As the sun rises and sets above her, some of Winnie’s accessories in the play (a toothbrush, a handbag and a gun) progressively become visible and invisible again. The gallery will also present an installation of snow owl portraits, which Wilson filmed in front of a vibrant polka-dotted background. [Read more…]

“The Darwin Awards” screencaptures

Tuesday, Mar 10, 2009

I just added 1405 screencaptures of 2006 “The Darwin Awards”, a cool movie with a lot of people we love: Noni, David Arquette, Joseph Fiennes, Juliette Lewis, Julianna Margulies, and directed by Finn Taylor.

A forensic detective (Fiennes) and an insurance claims investigator (Ryder) trek to investigate a potential Darwin Award winner. From www.darwinawards.com: “The Darwin Awards salute the improvement of the human genome by honoring those who accidentally kill themselves in really stupid ways.”
