Winona to guest star on Drunk History
One of the funniest web series to ever exist is coming to television as Comedy Central has announced an eight-episode run of the Funny or Die original, “Drunk History.â€
Drunk History first hit the web over five years ago. The premise of the short videos is simple: Someone drinks a bunch of liquor and proceeds to tell the story behind a famous historical event – the friendship of Lincoln and Douglass, Benjamin Franklin discovering electricity, Alexander Hamilton & Aaron Burr. etc.
The videos feature the drunk storyteller as narrator, but also feature dramatic recreations of the events as they unfold – as they unfold from the mouths of the drunk storytellers, of course.
The network has officially set a July 9 premiere for the web-adapted reenactment series, amid a mammoth list of guest stars that includes everyone from ‘SNL‘ vet Kristen Wiig to Winona Ryder and ‘The Internshipâ€s Owen Wilson, and that’s just to start. Episodes will run for 30 minutes and are slated to air this summer.
Check out the original sketches over Funny or Die! website.

“Catch My Disease”: Winona featured on Ben Lee documentary
It was released last November 06th Ben Lee: Catch My Disease, the documentary on singer-songwriter Ben Lee.
The movie — written, directed and produced by filmmaker Amiel Courtin-Wilson — is described as a “playful yet deeply intimate portrait of Lee†and “the issues of celebrity and spirituality that arise when launched into the spotlight,†according to the producers.
Among those interviewed are ex-girlfriend Claire Danes and friends Jason Schwartzman, Michelle Williams, Beastie Boy Mike D, Zooey Deschanel and Winona Ryder.
I’ve been trying to find it on iTunes or Amazon but it seems it’s not available, but you can find on Barnes & Noble. Or check on their Facebook official page for more links.

My friend Annika nicely sent us better quality screen captures of that Friends episode Winona Ryder guest starred back in 2001.
