Netflix releases the final “Stranger Things” trailer

Saturday, Oct 14, 2017

It was Friday the 13th, and Netflix appropriately dropped the final trailer for the much antecipated second season of Stranger Things, that’s being released next Oct. 27.

The Stranger Things follow up—which might just be the most hyped series of the year—is set one year after the first season, in the fall of 1984, when dark supernatural forces again descend on the town of Hawkins. While the previous trailer was fun and “Thriller”-heavy, playing up the show’s ’80s aesthetic, this trailer takes on more dramatic, urgent tone, one that will raise your heartrate by several beats per minute. The monsters are bigger, the kids are more intense, while Joyce is more frantic than ever. Who can blame her? Will, severely changed by his time in the Upside Down, has seen a shadow in the sky, and doesn’t seem to be holding up so well.

These are not nightmares,” Hopper tells Joyce. “It’s happening. And it all leads back to here.
